Castlewood State Park Castlewood State Park is a wonderful little natural area located on the banks of Meramec River. What is surprising about Castlewood, it’s surrounded by St. Louis County suburbs and less than a thirty minute drive from the St. Louis Arch. Keifer Creek is a little Ozark gravel bed stream that runs through the park into the Meramec River. Castlewood State Park is one of my favorite get-a-ways where one can enjoy a clear running stream and wonderful scenic vistas overlooking the Meramec River Valley.
Keifer Creek, Castlewood State Park was painted with the finest quality pastels available. With proper care, it will retain its beauty and value for future generations. Pastels are fragile materials that should be handled with utmost care. Be careful to never touch or rub the pastel surface. Always display pastels behind glass but not touching the glass.
