May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise
into and above the clouds. -Ed Abbey
If you love nature, the Ozarks has it all. Ancient flat-topped mountains, a world of hardwood forests, clear running streams, great hiking trails, float streams, a little bit of wildness and an azure sky seldom tarnished with pollution.
I’ve been creating paintings of The Incredible Ozarks, for over 17 years. In that span of time, I’ve attempted to capture the beauty of the Ozarks from the top of its ancient mountains to its deep green valleys. I've paint the old farms and barns, the country roads, it’s bubbling creeks and streams, the seasons, the weather and most important, I attempted to capture its unbelievable beauty.
Starting April 27th, thru June 12th, I will share with you over 50 plus paintings of “The Incredible Ozarks” at Tanglefoot Gallery in Festus, Missouri. I hope you will join me for an opening reception on May 1st, 1:00pm to 5:00pm. To make it a really great day to explore the Ozarks Mike Aehle and Joel Ferber will be playing their live Bluegrass music. Also, my wife, Diane Tessman will be displaying her fiber art along with the original Jewelry of Julie Bell and the wonderful paintings of Rick Bayers.
Mark May 1st, 1:00 -5:00 on your calendar and come to our reception.
