2021 CV

My objectives for 2021  is to continue to develop the body of work "The Incredible Ozarks" and to find new exhibition venues for the series.
  
Artist Profile
  • Working artist in oil, acrylic, pastel and photography since the late 1990’s
  • Organizer and curator of three photography exhibitions at The National Great Rivers Museum at the Melvin Price Lock and Dam in Alton, Il.
  • Organizer of a major photography regional exhibit Mississippi River Photography Shoot Out, a juried exhibition, in conjunction with the National Great Rivers Museum and the Jacoby Arts Center (Alton, IL) which was exhibited in April, May and June of 2016.
  • Co-Organizer of 2017 Marketing My Art Workshop - designed to help area artists learn how to market themselves and promote their art.
  • Organizer/owner of Paint St Louis - organize, market, and conduct artist workshops with national and regional artists since 2008
  • Workshop instructor at Paint St Louis: 
    • Sold Online, How to Sell Your Art Through Online galleries.
    • How to Photograph 2D & 3D Art, 
    • Photographing the Edges of the Night, Landscape and Cityscape Photography
    • Painting Pastels using the Dusting Technique.
  • Current exhibiting artist at Artisans on the Loop, University City, MO -2018
  • Current exhibiting artist at Green Door Art Gallery, Webster Groves, MO since 2013.
  • Creator of the Artists & Gallery Directory, Best of the St. Louis Bi-state Region, 2012
  • Actively involved in the Greater St, Louis Art Association (GSLAA), Program Chairman, Special Projects Director, and Webmaster – since 2006
    • Organizer of four GSLAA Business of Art workshops 2012-2015
    • Organizer of two GSLAA charter trips to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art
  • Actively involved with the Gateway Pastel Artists Association, Past President (3 years) and Special Projects Chairman
  • Organized and ran the Lafayette Square Plein Air Paint-Out which included two weeks of daily plein air paint competitions followed by a month long exhibition and sale
  • Judge for numerous art fairs, art competitions and plein air events in the St Louis Region 
 
Professional Photographer Profile
 
  • Retired owner and operator of a Digital Imaging & Design, a commercial photography and graphic design business. Providing photography and marketing materials such as catalogues, brochures, postcards and books 
  • Freelance industrial photographer with emphasis on projects for the transportation industry - trucking, railroad and barge companies
  • Freelance editorial photographer working for national publications such as National Geographic, Forbes, Time and numerous sports, travel and agricultural publications. 
  • Newspaper photographer in Fort Smith, Arkansas and recipient of Arkansas Press Photographer’s Association Photojournalist of the Year award for two consecutive years 
  • Started career in Springfield, MO as a commercial photography apprentice and advanced to co-owner of business
